LHM Healthcare has been instructed to recommence the provision of critical care hyperbaric emergency services for NHS patients under executive direction from Specialist Commissioning’s National Medical Director.

A full Category 1 hyperbaric service will be available from 18 December 2025, reinstating emergency provision following the centre’s closure on 30 September and addressing an identified gap in service continuity.

The re-opened service will cover London and the South East and will provide treatment for critically ill patients with decompression illness and arterial gas embolism.
